Youngest Malaysian to fly solo around the world

（台灣‧台北31日訊）環遊世界只能“搭＂飛機？年僅21歲的大馬華裔男孩陳力沈（James Anthony Tan）靠自己“開＂上青天。昨天下午他駕駛單螺旋槳飛機降落台灣桃園機場，這是他挑戰史上最年輕獨自駕駛單螺旋槳飛機環遊世界的第三站，才出關，餓壞的他用不太標準的中文說，最想吃小籠包和牛肉麵！

陳力沈3月28日在馬來西亞首相祝福下，從梳邦機場駕著Cessna210Silver Eagle單螺旋槳飛機起飛，展開“1Malaysia Around The World＂的環遊世界旅程，途經泰國曼谷、越南峴港後，臨時變更飛行計劃，以桃園機場取代澳門做為此行的第三站。

50天飛4萬1千公里‧24日回馬

他在抵達桃園機場後接受《聯合報》記者史榮恩訪問時說，預計將在50天內飛行4萬1千公里，跨越四大洲、21個國家，於4月24日回到馬來西亞。

陳力沈去年才考取機師執照，馬上就創下了在29天內飛越歐亞13個國家的紀錄。

外型帥氣的陳力沈說，5歲時看到空中翱翔的戰鬥機有了飛行夢想，但艱澀的飛行技術書籍對從小就有閱讀障礙的他有如天書，必須經特殊訓練，付出比別人更多的努力克服困難，但他從不曾放棄夢想，“希望我的奮鬥過程及環遊世界的冒險能啟發年輕人，每個人都有實現夢想的潛能。＂

挑戰自駕飛機環遊世界的壯舉聽來讓人內心澎湃，但是獨自飛行會不會寂寞？陳力沈說，小飛機上沒有大客機隨選娛樂系統，只有手機與相機，但他樂觀地笑說“幸運的是駕駛艙裡還有冷氣！＂

事實上，飛行中會遇上許多驚險刺激的狀況，好比他去年橫跨歐亞大陸時曾碰上孟加拉暴風雨、印度亂流、俄羅斯的冰雹，甚至在阿拉斯加上空因引擎急速冷凍而迫降。

陳力沈獨自駕駛飛機環遊世界，是由Young Pilots Association Malaysia、Malaysia Felda Youth Council及1M4U等非營利組織共同贊助，除確保飛行安全，也期望藉此鼓勵年輕人勇敢追夢。

PILOT James Anthony Tan is aiming to set a world record of being the youngest pilot to fly 14,000 nautical miles solo around the world in 50 days.

Tan, who will be 22 in June, is planning to fly to 20 countries, with 30 pit stops.

Berita Harian reported that Tan would start his journey on the Cessna P210, a single piston aircraft, on March 23 at Subang Skypark.

The event is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Tan said that he wanted to be a pilot since he was five years old, after he saw a jet fighter flying 90 degrees while he was on a Boeing 747 flight from Kuala Lumpur to Britain.

He has completed several flying courses.

Tan believed that the only way to gain experience was by travelling around the world.

“I want this expedition to inspire Malaysian youths to be brave to dream big,” he said.
